We provide first-class support for Blogger, Disqus, and Facebook comments on posts and pages. Not only that, you can use multiple comment platforms at the same time, and these comments are available on AMP pages as well.
How to Customize Comments on Blogger
To customize comments on your Blogger site, follow these steps:
- Go to Blogger Theme Designer.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- From the dropdown selection list, select Plugin: Comments.
After accessing the Comments Plugin, you can adjust the appearance, layout, font, and other settings to match your blog’s style.
Blogger Comments
This section will guide you on how to customize Blogger comments.
Comments on Pages
By default, comments are enabled for pages as well. You can disable or enable them by setting the length of comments on pages to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
Iframe Style
This option has been removed as of v3.2.0.
Blogger deprecated (without notification) the Legacy style in February 2025. Do not make any changes to this option. If you have been using Legacy style, switch back to Modern style.
Since Blogger comments on AMP pages explicitly use Legacy style to make comments compatible with AMP (as Modern style doesn't work well on AMP), Blogger comment forms will not work properly on AMP pages and might show a Google logo.
There are two styles of iframe available for the comments form embed: Legacy and Modern. By default, it is set to Modern style.
Changing Iframe Style
You can change the iframe style to Legacy or Modern by setting the length of Blogger Iframe Style to 1px (Legacy) or 2px (Modern).
For the AMP variant of pages, it will explicitly use the Legacy style because Modern style doesn't work well on AMP pages.
Pop-up Style
Blogger comments use pop-up style by default.
This can be disabled or enabled by setting the length of Comments Popup to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
For the AMP variant of pages, or if multiple comments platforms are enabled at the same time, the Pop-up style will be automatically disabled.
Expanded Replies
Comments' replies are expanded by default. You can choose whether to collapse or expand replies to a comment by setting the length of Expanded Replies to 1px (collapse) or 2px (expand) respectively.
Comment Media Parsers
Comment Media Parsers is a Blogger comment form tool that allows commenters to add Quotes, Images, Inline code, Code blocks, and Name tags. By default, it is enabled.
Comment Media Parsers can be disabled or enabled by setting the length of Comment Media Parsers to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
Allow Images
This option, when enabled, renders <i rel='image'>image_link_here</i> in the comment body as <img src='image_link_here'>, allowing commenters to add images in comments.
This feature is enabled by default. To disable or enable it, set the length of Allow Images to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
Allow Links
This option, when enabled, renders HTML anchor tags <a> if they exist in the comment body. It helps prevent commenters from adding unwanted links, reducing spam.
This feature is disabled by default. To disable or enable it, set the length of Allow Links to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
Note: This option does not affect the author’s comments, allowing them to include anchor tags regardless of the setting.
Disqus Comments
To enable Disqus comments on your Blogger site, you first need to specify your Disqus shortname. Find the following code snippet in Edit HTML of your Blogger theme and add your Disqus shortname:

Coming back to Comments Plugin settings, you can disable or enable Disqus comments by setting the length of Disqus Comments to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
Using Only Disqus Comments
If you want only Disqus comments to appear on your posts or pages, set the lengths of Blogger Comments and Facebook Comments to 1px in order to disable them respectively. This ensures that only the Disqus comments section is visible.
Facebook Comments
Facebook comments can be disabled or enabled by setting the length of Facebook Comments to 1px (disable) or 2px (enable) respectively.
